For cutting tomatoes, vegetables, and fruits with firm skins: this paring knife with serrated edge cuts through ingredients cleanly and smoothly without placing too much pressure on the surface. Also suitable for dry or semi-dry sausages and hard cheeses. Strong, long-lasting blades with a v-ground edge are precision-tapered from bolster to tip to maintain their shape and hold their edge. Blades are laser-cut from a single piece of steel and easy to sharpen. Full tang adds weight and balance to blades longer than 5 inches.
